Crazy Horse: Betsy and Katie

For your comments on Presentations:

First, write about something well done.  What did you learn from this group?  What part of the Presentation seemed the best?  Be specific, and use a specific example from the Presentation and your notes.

Second, offer constructive criticism that would help this group. What might have been more clear?  What part of the Presentation seemed the least polished?  Be specific.

  1. I think Katie and Betsy did a nice job explaining who Crazy Horse is because before this presentation I had never heard of him. I like that they also emphasized the statue being built for him because when it's all said and done, it's going to be bigger than Mount Rushmore and that's big in American history. Something I think they could've brushed up on is just the relaying of information back in forth. Over all very good presentation though.

  2. Something I didn't know about crazy horse was that he was from the Lakota tribe. They did a great job of giving background information on him which helped me because I was not very familiar with him. The best part of the presentation was when they showed the video of the monument being built. I thought this showed how important he was the world. Something I think they could work on was the conclusion. there should be a signal that tells the audience you are down with the presentation.

  3. Excellent presentation on Crazy Horse and how he was a real leader of his people who fought alongside his people and stood his ground even against the men who tried to take their lands. It was really cool to see in the video the real scale of the monument that they are making of him.

I feel like the only bad part was that you seemed to repeat that he was a leader more than bringing up other ways he was a visionary, but you still did really well.

  4. I had no idea about the monument that was being built, so that was interesting to learn. The video gave a good idea of the size of it, and how it has impacted people now.
Something to improve on would be to have a conclusion that summarizes all of the main points that were made.

  5. This presentation was very interesting! I did not know most of the facts that were shared with us. The monument is going to be awesome when it is finished. I thought both presenters did a great job. The only thing I could see that could use some improvement was the powerpoint slides. They all were very dark.

  6. I loved the person you chose for this assignment. I had heard of Crazy Horse, but did not know much about him. Your choice of including current problems with Native Americans stood out to me, because it shows that problems occur today with the natives. In the future, I would encourage you both to be a little less hesitant when it comes to speaking. Overall, well done!

  7. I liked the history of this presentation. The presenters did a good job explaining what was happening in the battles and events. I liked the explanation of the monument, and how it doesn't let us forget about crazy horse. I think maybe a little more explanation on the Dakota Pipeline and how it connects with crazy horse would have been helpful.

  8. I thought your video and your connection to the present problem of the Dakota Pipeline was wonderful!

I would have even loved more background on the battles that he participated in--why were they important and how did he stand out as a leader?

  9. I loved the part where you explained his dream you did a great job of painting that picture. I thought you guys did an awesome job, I think maybe it could've been more in depth to him as a person if that information is available. GREAT JOB!

  10. I never heard about Crazy Horse until this presentation. It was a very interesting. I come from a Native American background and believed everything Crazy Horse did; he did to protect his culture the land. I also like how you connected the pipeline protest today to what Crazy Horse did back then.

  11. You presentation was very informative!! I loved the information about the memorial statue-so cool! The only criticism I have is that you could be a little louder, I had a hard time hearing you in some parts.

  12. I really loved your presentation and I thought it was really interesting! I really like your video that you showed because I thought it was really powerful and lot of emotion behind it! One thing I thought was a little distracting was how your letting was a little small on your powerpoint. It was a little hard to read at times but over all you had a really good presentation and really interesting!

  13. What I learned from this presentation was he was a Native American who fought for his tribe. The best part was when you showed us the video of the statue that was going to be build I didn't even know they were building something like that. I think it would have been interesting if we would have know more about his family like wife and Children.

  14. Your guys presentation was great. I learned so much about crazy horse and the culture. I think the video you guys showed us about the woman getting emoitonal really helped to show how inspiring he really was. I think one thing to work on would just to speak a little louder. It was difficult to understand what you were saying at times throughout your presentation.
